Dipalpur, the History
Dipalpur gained fame as an outpost that played a significant part in defending the Delhi Sultanate against the Mongol invasions of the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries.
In 1285, Shahid Khan, son of Emperor Balban, was killed in a bloody battle against the Mongols and the famous poet Amir Khusro was taken prisoner. The tomb where Muhammad Tughlaq is interred may still be seen in an isolated part of the city, although it has become rather dilapidated.

Pakistani Rupee (Currency Note)
Last week, while I was sitting with my friends, one of my friends “Imran Sajjad” asked me, “do you have old notes of Pakistan’s currency like PKR 5, 10 etc?”
This question was surprised for me, I just replied why he want this. He said we should have a copy or pictures of old notes so that we can tell our new generation about our currency.
As I have not old currency notes or a picture. So, I have decided to search and find the pictures of currency notes and try to put on the web.
After a long searching, I just found some of the images… not sure either these are all or there is any other note too…

Sometimes, something we just need to be reminded!
A speaker started off his seminar on character building by holding up a Rs.500.00 bill. In the room of 100 people, he asked, “Who would like this Rs.500 bill?”
Hands started going up.
He said, “I am going to give this Rs. 500 to one of you
But first, let me do this.

Meri Zindagi ki Haqiqat
Samunder ki tanhai mein tanhaa
mein apney app ko dekhta hon
Hazaron meel tak youn hi tanhaa akaila
khud apney app ko he dekhta hon
kabhi awara raston per youn chaltey
mein apney saye ko he dhondhta hon
Kabhi raton mein routey huwe
kisi ke hath hathon mein dekhta hon
Kabhi mein tak e wafa ko yaad kar ke
phir milne ki khuwahish bandhta hon
Kabhi mein khuwab yeh bhe dekhta hon
kabhi yeh aas khud he toorta hon
Mein ab bhe awargi ke andheron
mein jaam honton se lagata hon
Mein ab bhe hazar dukhon ko
nichoor kar aik qatra sharab banata hon
Mein ab bhe raton ko tanhaa aakaila
ghumon ki barishon mein beheegta hon
Mein ab bhe ansuoon ko pee kar usman
Suroor e Mai-kashi mein jhoomta hon
mein apney app ko dekhta hon
Hazaron meel tak youn hi tanhaa akaila
khud apney app ko he dekhta hon

Hum dekhenge
Lazim hai ke hum bhi dekhenge
Wo din ke jis ka wada hai
Jo lauh-e-azl mein likha hai
Jab zulm-o-sitam ke koh-e-garan
Rooi ki tarah ur jaenge
Hum mehkoomon ke paaon tale
Ye dharti dhar dhar dharkegi
Aur ahl-e-hakam ke sar oopar
Jab bijli kar kar karkegi
Lazim hai ke hum bhi dekhenge
Wo din ke jis ka wada hai
Jo lauh-e-azl mein likha hai
Jab zulm-o-sitam ke koh-e-garan
Rooi ki tarah ur jaenge
Hum mehkoomon ke paaon tale
Ye dharti dhar dhar dharkegi
Aur ahl-e-hakam ke sar oopar
Jab bijli kar kar karkegi
Welcome Faiz
You are still living in our hearts and minds in the form of your verses.

Daud Bandagi Kirmani
Shajar-e-Nasab
Hazrat Daud Bandagi was the 28th descendant of Musa Al-Mubarqa the son of Imam Muhammad al-Taqi ibne Imam Ali al-Rida.
Education
After receiving formal religious instruction in Dipalpur and Lahore at the hands of eminent scholars of the time, Shaikh Daud decided to get all worldly and material pursuits.
Spiritual Education
Shaikh Daud, in the quest of spiritual enlightenment, spent a lot of time in great worship. Shaikh Daud belonged to Awaisi tariqat, that is, without any direct teacher or murshid, he later joined the Qadiri silsila at the hands of Shaikh Hamid Gillani at Satghara.
Village of Shergarh
After formally becoming a member of the influential Qadiri Silsilah, Daud Bandagi Kirmani established his khankah in the remote village of Shergarh (District Okara, Pakistan), present between Lahore and Multan. Shergarh at that time was part of the Chunian, subsequently Shergarh became the center of the Qadiri Silsila and the saints Khankah began to attract thousands of people from all walks of life.
The famous 16th century Muslim historian 'Abd al-Qadir Bada'uni went to Shergarh in AD 1572. He lived there for four days. The detailed account of his visit along with a biography of the saint is preserved in Volume II and III of his famous work, Muntakhab-ut-Tawarikh.
Mughal Emperor Jalaluddin Muhammad Akbar
According to Badaoni, the Mughal Emperor Jalaluddin Muhammad Akbar when visited Pakpattan passed through Shergarh and after hearing about the sanctity and influence of the saint was desirous of meeting him. Akbar sent General Shahbaz Khan Kamboh, an important nobleman of the court, to the khankah in order to obtain permission from the saint. Shaikh Daud, who never associated with those who possessed worldly power or wealth, sent Shahbaz Khan back with the message that he (Shaikh Daud) always remembered the Emperor in his prayers and thus there was no need for him (the Emperor) to come physically in his presence for the purpose of prayer and benediction.
It is the great spiritual power of Hazrat Daud Bandagi, who converted a large number of Hindu Jat and Rajput tribes of the Punjab to Islam. Some of the tribes converted either fully or partially by the saint are, Chatta's, Cheema's, Virks, Hanjra, Dehotar, Warraich, Gurhai, Maan and Sansi in District Gujaranwala. In District Sialkot, Bajwa's, Basra's, Cheema's, Ghumman's, Kahlon's, Gurhai, Sahi and Sindhu. In district Sahiwal, Ihrar's, Haan's, Hutiana's, Majhiana's and Murdanay Baluch.

Govt girls high school Depalpur
Govt girls high school depalpur has been serving this city for a quite long time and still contributing to a great extent in educating students especially girls. This is the only Government High school for girls in the city though in nearby Haveli Lakha and in Hujra, there are two Govt high schools each for girls. If we look at the history two institutions that have imparted the greater services in the education of females of this region, are Govt High school depalpur and Manzoor Islamia Girls High School. Though Manzoor Islamia Girls High school is now deteriorated much yet this institute is serving at certain higher level under the pricipalship of new present Headmistress.
Depalpur, which has a prominent place in history, remained as capital also, now-a-days an underdeveloped city where to educate people especially females, a great work and noble cause. In this context Govt High School Depalpur played a key role, starting as Primary school in 1925 the school became Middle school in 1940 and achieved high school standard in 1974.Mrs. Naseem Naumani appointed as 1st head Mistress of this institute who served from 1974 to 1979. Present day principal Miss Parveen Zahida Lon who had served this school in 1997 also has great vast vision and trying to establish school on modern lines. But there are many hurdles ahead of it. The major of all is the there more than 3000 students here and much less accommodation for them.
