Govt. Degree College Depalpur

Cultural , civic, social and knowledge developments progressed step by step. In Depalpur Inter college came into existence on January 1,1976. In early days it was established in two rooms of High school’s rented accommodation after wards shifted to an old but comparatively better building of hospital. The teachers of this institution played a vital role in the educational developments of it. With the efforts of Principlal Professor Ghulam Muhammad, fifteen acres of land was allotted for college building and present building of college was started to be made. On March 21, 1986 foundation stone of new college building was laid by Mr.Muhammad Yaseen Wattoo, minister of finance and economic affairs Govt of Pakistan.


            In 1988 the classes were held in new building of college. Principal Abdur rasheed Qureshi contributed a lot in the development of this institution. Plantation was also started to enhance its beauty. In 1989 it got the status of degree college. With grave efforts of Principal Ch.Muhammad Yaseen the present day building was completed. Due to the modern days needs of computer education, computer classes were held in 1999.
Principal Rai Nemat Ali Kharal retired honorably on February 2007 after serving and contri Present Principal Professor Muhammad Hussain wattoo who is not only a great teacher of chemistry yet one of the best administrator. He remained principal at Haveli Lakha also where everyone always remember and praise his greatest of contributions there. Here he has not only decorated the college never before yet paid special heed to discipline of college in every respect and in essence. He is leading the Alma mater along with other faculty members having true team spirit. buting to a great deal in the overall development of this institute.
