Govt girls high school Depalpur

Govt girls high school depalpur has been serving this city for a quite long time and still contributing to a great extent in  educating students especially girls. This is the only Government High school for girls in the city though in nearby Haveli Lakha and in Hujra, there are two Govt high schools each for girls. If we look at the history two institutions that have imparted the greater services in the education of females of this region, are Govt High school depalpur and Manzoor Islamia Girls High School. Though Manzoor Islamia Girls High school is now deteriorated much yet this institute is serving at certain higher level under the pricipalship of new present Headmistress.

         Depalpur, which has a prominent place in history, remained as capital also, now-a-days an underdeveloped city where to educate people especially females, a great work and noble cause. In this context Govt High School Depalpur played a key role, starting as Primary school in 1925 the school became Middle school in 1940 and achieved high school standard in 1974.Mrs. Naseem Naumani appointed as 1st head Mistress of this institute who served from 1974 to 1979. Present day principal Miss Parveen Zahida Lon who had served this school in 1997 also has great vast vision and trying to establish school on modern lines.But there are many hurdles ahead of it. The major of all is the there more than 3000 students here and much less accommodation for them.
